Description
Did you know Handfasting is an ancient Celtic ritual dating back 2000 years. Traditionally a couples hands are bound together with cord, ribbon or fabric to symbolize their commitment and union. Historically, it was binding, often temporary, betrothal or “trial marriage” contract. Lasting 1 year and 1 day by which time the union was either disbanded or the couple in question would legally commit to one another in ceremony.
